job search preparation

Whether you’re applying for your first job, making a career change, or aiming for your dream role, there are effective ways to stand out from the competition. Bellevue University offers a variety of resources to help you strengthen your resume, craft a strong cover letter, and build your interview skills.

Cover letters and resumes

While there’s no such thing as a “perfect resume,” a well-written one can open doors—and a poorly written one can close them. To help you make the best impression, Career Services offers sample résumés and cover letters as guides.

If you’d like a personalized resume review, call a Career Coach at 402-557-7423.

Interviews

Once your resume earns you an interview, preparation is key. Knowing how to present your skills and experience can make a lasting impression on employers. Career Services provides helpful information and videos to guide you in presenting yourself confidently and professionally.

You can also use our online mock interview tool to record practice interviews, review your performance, receive feedback from Career Services, and share your video for additional input.
