Bellevue University offers free peer tutoring for numerous undergraduate and graduate courses. Tutors team with you to help you strengthen what you already understand and develop strategies to gain a better understanding of more challenging material.
Tutoring assistance is available online and on-campus, one-on-one, or in a group setting.
Scheduling and Attending a Tutoring Appointment
Schedule an Appointment
We strive to provide tutoring support for every course.
Start by reviewing the current list of courses tutored by students. To schedule a tutoring session, simply log in to your BRUIN Connect account and access the “Academic Support” chicklet. See illustrated directions for making an appointment.
Tutoring appointments are scheduled through our online system. The process is the same whether your appointment will be held on campus or online.
Attend Your Appointment
On-Campus Appointments
The Tutor Center is located on Bellevue University’s Main Campus in the Freeman/Lozier Library.
Online Appointments
Online tutoring sessions are held via Zoom. You can join the session by clicking “Start or Join Online session” in your appointment form after you’ve scheduled your session.

Do I have to pay for tutoring appointments?
Tutoring appointments are free!
How often can I schedule tutoring sessions?
When working with a student tutor, you may schedule as many tutoring sessions as you need. If a professional tutor is required, students are eligible for up to 10 hours of tutoring per class.
How long are tutoring sessions?
Tutoring sessions are 30 or 60 minutes
Can online students use tutoring services?
Yes! Online students have full access to tutoring services, including Zoom-based appointments.
What if there are no tutors available when I need help?
If your course is not listed in our online system or you need additional scheduling options, submit a tutor request form, located on the current list of courses tutored by students.
Will my instructor be notified I met with a tutor?
Your instructor will only be notified that you met with a tutor if you request it.
How do I become a tutor?
Students interested in learning more about becoming a tutor can do so by completing a tutor employment interest form.
