Kirkpatrick Signature Series

The Kirkpatrick Signature Series is a distinctive part of the Bellevue University undergraduate experience. Through a sequence of interdisciplinary learning experiences, students explore the responsibilities of citizenship, engage with important societal issues, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.

Designed to connect academic learning with personal and professional growth, the Signature Series encourages students to think critically, communicate effectively, and consider how they can contribute to their communities and the world around them.

What Is the Kirkpatrick Signature Series

The Kirkpatrick Signature Series is a university-wide undergraduate requirement that helps students connect their education to larger questions about citizenship, leadership, and civic engagement.

Through guided exploration of historical ideas and foundational documents, including the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, contemporary issues, and real-world challenges, students develop skills that support thoughtful decision-making, respectful dialogue, and informed participation in society. Students are encouraged to examine multiple perspectives, reflect on their own experiences, and consider how they can make meaningful contributions in their personal, professional, and civic lives.
