GAC Accredited Programs

When you select one of three project management degree programs at Bellevue University, you will be learning in programs accredited by the PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management (GAC).

GAC is an independent academic accreditation body with policies, procedures, and standards for project, program, portfolio management and related programs at the bachelor’s, post graduate and doctoral degree levels. The mission of GAC is to advance excellence in education worldwide, while its primary objective is to ensure that GAC accredited programs prepare students to meet the current and anticipated needs of businesses and government organizations for qualified professionals working in the field.

The following Bellevue University degree programs are accredited by the Global Accreditation Center (GAC) for Project Management.

Master of Project Management (MPM) Program Mission:

The Master of Project Management program is designed for professionals who wish to develop or expand their project management skills for interdisciplinary application. Combining theory with active learning, the program provides a strong foundation of the business, communication, and leadership skills needed to plan, execute, and manage projects and portfolios in today’s competitive and global environments. The program is aligned with the Project Management Institute’s globally-recognized standards and covers key areas contained in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). Students will work with instructors who have achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation and are actively working in the field.


Master of Science in Management Information Systems – IT Project Management Concentration (MS-MIS) Program Mission:

The Master of Science in Management Information Systems program is a STEM-designated degree that equips graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate current and emerging technologies along with creating strategies that align technology with an organization’s strategic objectives and vision. The curriculum focuses on critical areas in the Information Systems profession including Information systems security, infrastructure, services, information technology, strategy and policy, enterprise architecture, and project management. Development of managerial skill-sets necessary to lead organizations is also emphasized.


Bachelor of Science in Project Management (BS-PM) Program Mission:

The Bachelor of Science in Project Management degree prepares graduates to manage and lead project teams across diverse business sectors. Students develop the knowledge and skills needed to design, implement, and evaluate project management plans from both strategic and tactical perspectives. The program addresses all phases of the project lifecycle—initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing—ensuring effective project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. Through case studies, simulations, and applied projects, learners build the technical and interpersonal competencies required to guide projects successfully from concept through completion. The curriculum aligns with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) and reflects current industry best practices, preparing graduates to apply industry-recognized tools, techniques, and professional behaviors that support organizational strategy and stakeholder expectations.
