Am I eligible for on-campus jobs?

  • You must be currently enrolled at Bellevue University, and
  • Be a student in good standing (GPA – Undergraduate: 2.0; Graduate: 3.0).
Federal work-study eligibility

You can apply to participate in Federal Work-Study with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

To participate in the Federal Work-Study program, you need to be eligible based on the information submitted on your FAFSA. Work-study will be included in your financial aid award if you elected to participate, and you are eligible. If you are interested in the work-study program, please contact the Financial Aid department to see if your financial aid package could include Federal Work-Study. For international students — employment eligibility

Any F-1 international student who is maintaining their status with Bellevue University is eligible for part-time on-campus employment and may apply for student employment. Off-campus work is not permitted without proper work authorization. All questions about work authorization (on- or off-campus) should be directed to International Student Services (iss@bellevue.edu). F-1 international students are not eligible for Federal Work Study employment.

The student employment process

  1. Apply on ADP Career Center.
  2. Your application will be reviewed by the Hiring Manager within a few weeks and contact you if they believe you fit the role.
  3. If offered the position, you will attend a student worker orientation.

*Also, according to the National Student Employment Association, First Generation Project, students who work on campus are more likely to persist in their academic studies. Through an on-campus part-time job, students become better acquainted with faculty, staff, and other students and more likely to feel like they are part of the campus community. Most students have much more flexibility in managing a work schedule with an on-campus job as compared to working off campus, both with class and athletic schedules.
