Explore mathematics in a convenient, collaborative lab—on campus or virtually. Get support from tutors and math faculty, use current technology and media, and learn at your own pace with a personalized approach.
When you arrive at MathX, you’ll find a relaxed space to problem-solve with classmates. Smart boards and virtual connections? We have those. iPads and Apple TV? We have those, too. Basically, there’s everything you need to succeed at math.
- Interactive: Set aside preconceived ideas about math and join an interactive course or activity, in person or virtually.
- Hands-on: All 100-level on-campus courses meet in the MathX space. Daytime courses include an activity day and a lab day. Evening sessions divide time between activities and lab work.
- Activity days: Use tablets connected to large screens and collaborate on problem-solving activities and games.
- Lab days: Work on assignments individually or with peers, and ask questions of your professor or tutors.
- Online students: Participate remotely, either paired with another student or by connecting to the classroom via Adobe Connect®.
- Tutoring options: Tutoring is available either in-person at the MathX Lab or via Adobe Connect©, by appointment.
