Every student is assigned a dedicated advisor—called a Student Coach—upon registration and for the duration of their degree program. Your Student Coach is your primary support contact throughout your time at Bellevue University. Coaches offer guidance in goal setting, time management, and connecting you with academic support services. They also help you navigate academic and financial processes so you can stay on track toward graduation.
your Student Coach will:
- Be an accessible resource to help you set goals and persist through your academic plan.
- Assist with career and major exploration options.
- Clarify Bellevue University policies, procedures, and academic catalog information.
- Assist with course selection and registration via BRUIN.
- Communicate course participation expectations, academic standards, and assist with academic concerns.
- Provide referrals to academic support services.
- Be available to review your advisement report and discuss academic progress.
- Answer financial questions and assist in navigating financial processes.
- Instruct on how to navigate email, BRUIN, Cyberactive Blackboard, and other systems.
- Answer questions regarding graduation, conferral, and requesting transcripts.
- Maintain confidentiality according to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

How to contact your Student Coach
You can contact your Student Coach by calling or emailing directly, or you can make an appointment with your Student Coach via the Student Academic Success Hub in BRUIN.
- Log in to BRUIN.
- From the “My BRUIN” Homepage, select the “Student Academic Success Hub” tile.
- Your Student Coach name and contact information will be located toward the center right side of the page.
- Click on the “Schedule an Appointment” box in the middle of the page and follow the prompts to create an appointment with your Student Coach. A confirmation email will be sent to your email account listed in your hub profile.
Or, you can also locate the name and contact information of your Student Coach under your Academic Progress tile in BRUIN:
- Log in to BRUIN.
- From the “My BRUIN” Homepage, select the “Academic Progress” graphic tile.
- Select “My BU Team” from the left menu and your coach information will be listed on the page.
