When should I submit an application?

After completion of your Junior year. Complete an application here.
Contact us before finishing your application and we can get the application fee waived for graduating high school students!

Does Bellevue University require an ACT score for Admissions review?

No, Bellevue University is an open enrollment campus. However, the ACT/SAT scores may be used for some scholarship purposes.

Is Bellevue University accredited?

Yes, Bellevue University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), an accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Read more about our accreditation here.

What is required for a bachelor’s degree?

A bachelor’s degree requires 127 credit hours including General Education, a Major, Electives, plus the Kirkpatrick Signature Series capstone course. Bachelor’s degree requirements are explained on our Admissions pages.

What majors does Bellevue University Offer?

Does Bellevue University require Placement Testing?

Bellevue University requires an ALEKS mathematics placement assessment to determine your readiness for various courses.

Does Bellevue University offer Tutoring services?

Yes, Bellevue University provides free tutoring services as well as additional resources for academic success through our Learning Labs.

What about internships to help me gain real world experience in my field?

Yes! Many traditional majors provide the opportunity to complete an internship or service project as part of its requirements or elective credits. The Career Services Center has knowledgeable staff who can answer your questions on internships, career assessments, resumes and much more.

Do you accept dual enrollment or Advanced Placement credits?

Yes. While many universities pick and choose what they allow to transfer, at Bellevue University there is no limit on the number of AP or dual enrollment credits you can transfer. We’ll determine the number of credits granted to you for each course based on the college’s course catalog description and our transfer equivalency guidelines.

When should I send my high school transcripts?

As soon as you are awarded your high school diploma, contact your school counselor to request your official transcript be sent to: busrtranscripts@bellevue.edu

When will I register for classes?

Upon receipt of your final official high school transcripts, your Admissions Counselor will be able to register you. Check out our first-year Bruin Experience Courses program, which makes it easy to complete your Gen Eds the first year.

What does a credit hour cost at Bellevue University?

Yes, financial aid money is available to assist students with the cost of attending college.

When should I submit my FAFSA?

Campus Life

Does Bellevue University have housing available?

Yes, Bruin Village apartment-style student housing is on the south end of campus. See our Student Housing pages for more information.

What is the average size of your classes?

In-class courses range from 12 to 20 students on average per class.

Does Bellevue University have athletics?

Do I need to attend orientation?

Yes, all first-year students have a requirement to attend New Bruin Academy (NBA), a two-day orientation the week before Fall term begins. Learn more.

Do I have to live on campus?

No, most students are not required to live on campus, however, it is encouraged. Living on campus is the best way to meet people and acclimate to college life

How can I get involved and meet people on campus?

The Residence and Student Life team hosts over 80 events throughout the year and offers a wide range of organizations meeting the needs of its diverse student body. See a list of clubs and organizations here.
