Experience

I have always loved mathematics! I taught mathematics at the middle and secondary levels for 14 years prior to being hired at Bellevue University, where I developed my ability to reach students who struggle with math or have a phobia of numbers. My focus as the program director of the BS in Mathematics program is to improve math education at the undergraduate level. I strive to do this every day with the integration of technology and improved teaching methodology throughout the program.

Awards

Research

Although I have no active research projects, I am very interested in learning about and developing effective strategies for involving students in their own learning as it relates to mathematics.
