Emergency Response and Evacuation Procedures

In the event of an on campus emergency, Bellevue University students and employees should contact the campus safety office at (402) 557-5000.

Weather related closings and delays will be communicated via the University website home page and campus email.

If a portion or the entire campus should become damaged or not accessible, a plan for staff work locations will be developed by the Incident Management Team and communicated via email and the University home page. Evacuation procedures and shelter locations are available to all campus personnel via the Incident Management Plan stored on the University shared network server, the campus safety office, and any of the individuals throughout the campus who have been designated as building monitors. All campus shelter areas are clearly marked.

All employees and students are encouraged to prepare themselves and their families for an emergency. Excellent home preparedness information is available at www.redcross.org and www.ready.gov.
