Borrowing Services
We recognize it is impossible to have desired materials available at all times; therefore we have developed a number of services which allow you to obtain materials through our library. Through our network with other libraries, we will do our best to get the information you desire in the most time-friendly way possible.
Interlibrary Loan
The purpose of Interlibrary Loan is to obtain materials needed for academic research related to Bellevue University classes or faculty research, which are not available at Bellevue University Library.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) allows one library to request materials for an individual from another library. Libraries agree to provide this service to enable library users to have access to materials regardless of the physical distance between the individual and the information they need. A small fee is charged for this service.

Outreach Services
The purpose of Outreach Services is to send library materials to those currently affiliated with Bellevue University. For a small fee, items may be sent to your home, business address, or forwarded to the Lozier Center (120th and Miami) for pick up. Outreach Services are available to current Bellevue University students, faculty and staff, alumni, and community users.
Reciprocal Privileges
This program is for the benefit of faculty and currently enrolled students from Nebraska colleges and universities. Reciprocal borrowing is an agreement that has been made between most academic libraries in the state. It allows Bellevue University faculty and students to use materials from other libraries and lets non-Bellevue University faculty and college students from Nebraska institutions use materials from our collection. For a full description of the program, along with requirements and limitations, visit the following links.
Community Users
Community users are those who are not currently registered students, alumni, or employees, but have paid for borrowing privileges. For a $40.00 prepaid fee, an individual is granted borrowing privileges for one year. If a community user becomes a registered student during the covered year, if she/he kept the community user receipt and contact Student Accounts, the $40 fee will be credited to their account.
