Preparation

Whether you are applying for your first job, changing careers, or looking to land your dream job, there are ways to set yourself apart from the competition. Bellevue University has several resources available to help you hone your resume and interview skills.

Cover Letters and Resumes

A "perfect resume" won't get you a job offer, but a poorly done resume may very well prevent you from getting that interview--and without an interview, you won't get the job. The Career Coaching Center has compiled sample resumes and cover letters to serve as a guide. If you are interested in having your resume evaluated, submit it with the Resume Critique Form.

Interviews

Once you have perfected your resume, and made it to the interview process, it is important to know what will impress employers, and what will discourage them from hiring you. The Career Coaching Center has put together information and videos for guidance in making the right impression, and presenting your skill set to make you the most desirable candidate.

We also have an online tool that allows you to record a practice interview, review the interview, receive feedback from the Career Coaching Center and send it to others for feedback.

More Information

We also encourage you to meet with a Career Coach to answer any questions you might have. If you are unable to meet with us in person, we can assist you via phone (800-756-7920, Ext. 557-7423) or via email.
