Mission

The mission of the College of Information Technology (CIT) is to inspire, enable, and actively engage learners to pursue a quality technical and business education by introducing the knowledge, skills, and understanding critical to being a valuable contributor to the Information Technology profession and society. This is done through multiple delivery means all of which are based on active learning principles and proactive assessment of quality and content. The CIT concentrates on skills training for today's workforce and specializes in networking, programming and database classes that provide the latest technologies at the right time.

The College of Information Technology offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems (CIS), with majors in CIS Software Programming, CIS Networking, CIS Web-Based Networking, and CIS in Business. In addition, the College offers cohort-based degree programs titled Bachelor of Science in Web Technologies (BSWT; Formally ISST), CIS in Business (CITB), CIS Systems and Network Administration Program (SNAP) and CIS Software Development Program (CISD). The College also offers a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems (MSCIS) and a Master of Science in Management of Information Systems (MSMIS). The MSCIS, MSMIS, BSWT, SNAP, CISD, CIS Networking, CITB, CIS and the CIS in Business are all offered online.

All College of Information Technology degree-seeking students must complete the requirements of the particular degree for which they are studying. For specific degree requirements for the CIS curriculum, please refer to the Computer and Information Technology section in the course catalog.
