Therese Michels is New Dean
of College of Arts and Sciences

New Dean Therese Michels is eager to work with students.

Bellevue University extends a warm welcome to Therese Michels, the new Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Iowa State University. A Geneva, Nebraska, native, Therese worked as an industrial chemist for a petroleum company before taking time off to raise three children. She returned to higher education, first as a professor and most recently as Interim Dean and Provost at Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. Outside of the professional environment, Therese is an amateur wine enthusiast, a political junkie, and an avid reader.
