Four Steps to Earning Credit for Your Life ExperiencesBellevue University isn’t about going backward in order to go forward. Here are four ways for you to get the credit you deserve for your knowledge and accomplishments: 1. Apply your associate’s degree credit to bachelor’s degree requirements. If you have an associate’s degree or about 60 credit hours, tell your Bellevue University Admissions Counselor. He/she will help you begin your accelerated major by making sure the hours you’ve already taken count toward completing your Bellevue University bachelor’s degree. 2. Earn credit by examination.For-credit exams in more than 80 different areas are available to you. They are called CLEP and DANTES exams, with test centers located nationwide. Your Admissions Counselor will help you select the exams that work best with your degree completion program. 3. Experiential Learning AssessmentsThis is a fancy way of saying you can earn credit for the knowledge you’ve gained through your work and life experiences. Talk to your Admissions Counselor about documenting these experiences. 4. Transfer credit from other sources. If you have professional licenses, gone through basic military training, completed a certification program, or have taken other professional or training programs, you may qualify for credit toward your Bellevue University bachelor’s degree. Our Admissions Counselors are waiting to hear from you to develop a plan for your degree completion that takes into account your previous college experience, training, and certifications.
