Here are 3 Ways We Keep You Motivated
Many distance learners agree that the most difficult part of studying online is staying motivated. Not at Bellevue University. Our online faculty is specially trained to assure your online experience is interactive, rich, and rewarding. Everyone is committed to helping you reach your goals. Here are some of the ways we work to keep you motivated:
1. We connect you with your classmates.
Bellevue University’s Cyber-Active® Learning platform ensures that you will experience the flexibility of “anytime, any place” distance learning with the responsiveness of a classroom. That means you will be assigned to class groups and encouraged to interact with your classmates.
2. We keep you talking.
Just because you’re taking your class online, doesn’t mean you don’t interact with others taking the class. At Bellevue University there is an open discussion board and forum that will give you numerous opportunities to share thoughts, ideas, and what you’re learning. Our students tell us time after time that they form a real bond with their online classmates. One student even commented, “We could tell that the people in our online class were from diverse ethnicities and cultures, and we knew through this venue we would learn new and different things.” Many of our students forge life-long relationships with other students they “meet” in their online program.
3. We chart and report on your progress.
Our programs are designed with the busy, adult learner in mind. You start your degree when you’re ready and move through your program with a group of adults just like you. Whether it’s a night out or a relaxing evening at home, setting up a reward system is important. After you enroll put “landmarks” on a calendar, such as a mark every four weeks. When you hit a landmark, go out for ice cream with your family or a favorite friend – someone supportive of your education and career goals. Hold off on buying that little something you’ve been eyeing until you reach the next landmark. Before you know it, 15 months will go by and you’ll have met your goal, motivated every step of the way!
