Yielding Extraordinary Results

Every year about this time I issue a kind of “state of the union” address to our Board of Directors. And, as I think back on the past several addresses, I have to say every report has been full of extraordinary results. It seems that we just keep getting better and better at Bellevue University.

Enrollment is up. We’re growing – breaking new ground for a new building in Bellevue, Nebraska and breaking new ground in corporate partnerships that help America’s companies provide relevant learning to their employees. We continue to make strides in online learning, recently winning a coveted award from the United States Distance Learning Association, and more.

Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results.

But what always moves me most is the difference we make in the lives of our graduates. No one person who attends Bellevue University is extraordinary. By that I mean you don’t have to have special circumstances to come here. You don’t have to be “superhuman.” You just need to have a goal – a dream – and recognize a good opportunity when it comes your way. With just one tiny step, one phone call or email to say “you’re in,” you’ll begin a series of positive steps that can lead to gratifying outcomes.

Once you’re enrolled at Bellevue University, you’ll be connected to the people and programs and processes that push you forward – forward to extraordinary results. One tiny step is all it takes. Go for it.
