Twins find double the satisfaction at Bellevue University.

Identical twins Peterchris and Paulchris Okpala, originally from Nigeria, traveled to Bellevue University from their current home in California to take part in the 2005 Spring Commencement.
Twins Peterchris and Paulchris Okpala met favorite faculty member Janice Brown at Bellevue University this Spring.

Peterchris and Paulchris work in healthcare as an Enrollment Processor of a health plan, and the Supervisor of Health Records Management, respectively. Desiring to move up on the job, they looked into Bellevue University after a friend’s recommendation and found it had everything they wanted in a university and more.

“My greater desire is to be resourceful, flexible, and open to new ideas. I chose Bellevue University because I knew it would help me meet my aspirations,” said Paulchris.

“It is also my desire to approach problems from different perspectives by drawing on knowledge from my area of study. Bellevue University has prepared me to contribute to the solution of problems in my generation through highly qualified faculty and staff. I was able to interact, cooperate, and socialize with students from different parts of the world. And, Bellevue University gave me the value of independence, respect, and recognition.”

“It was my desire from the time I was in high school to attend a University with the high level of academic excellence and moral standard as Bellevue University,” said Peterchris. “With Bellevue University I had the opportunity to develop my talents and prepare for leadership roles. I interacted with students from other social and racial backgrounds with different ideas, and this has enabled me to share ideas and broaden my own views about life and what it takes to live a successful life. I will state unequivocally that I love Bellevue University and its method of administration. It has the best online program.”

“We liked the open discussion board and open forum in Blackboard,” echoed Paulchris. “We could tell that the people online were from diverse ethnicities and cultures. We knew through this venue we would learn new and different things.”

“Once we got used to what it was like to learn and interact online, we enjoyed the challenge of each class and we learned a lot,” said Paulchris, speaking for the two. “And when we had a question or concern, we just emailed Professor Brown who always had the answers – and words of encouragement.”

The brothers were particularly pleased to meet Janice Brown, Professor, College of Professional Studies, in person at Bellevue University when they came here to graduate. “It was wonderful to be able to sit with her and give her a hug after all she did to help us through the program,” said Peterchris. “And, it was at graduation that we told Professor Brown she was not getting rid of us,” commented Peterchris. “We told her we were both enrolling in the Master of Healthcare Administration program.”
