Managers in Healthcare

Gain an in-depth business perspective with our NEW MBA with Healthcare Concentration.

If you’re a manager in the healthcare field, you are experiencing the pressures of the industry firsthand. While patient care is the utmost priority, you’re being asked to cut costs, hire and retain the best people, and make efficient yet effective business decisions.

Having a degree in healthcare is beneficial for your job, but it may not be enough. That’s why Bellevue University developed the new Concentration in Healthcare for our renowned MBA program. With this concentration you’ll learn how to apply proven business practices and principles to the business of healthcare. Donna McDaniel, Dean of the College of Business, is part of the development team for the Concentration. “We talked to many levels of managers in the healthcare field, all the way up to ‘C-level’ executives to find out what is needed to expand their knowledge of the business of healthcare,” Dean McDaniel said.

“Across the board it boiled down to the need for managers to have a broader perspective on the concept of the healthcare business as a whole,” she said. “We’ll use concepts and proven methodologies from other industries that complement the specific challenges of managing a healthcare facility.”

Applications for the MBA with Healthcare Concentration are being accepted now for courses starting in early 2005.
