At Bellevue University, credit you’ve earned from many sources applies to your degree.

In fact, you may already be a sophomore!

Bellevue University recognizes and appreciates the fact that college-level learning can happen in a variety of situations. Training on the job or in the military, or even just real-life experiences, can be every bit as valuable as a semester you spend in a classroom.

As a result, we have implemented transfer credit policies that respect the many ways that you may have already earned college credits. And although each student’s situation is unique, earned credits may be applied toward the general education core curriculum, electives, or even your degree program’s major area of study.

Why start over? Start on the path to degree completion with Bellevue University.

Here’s a list of the types of credit Bellevue University accepts toward degrees. Check it out and then call us to discover how close you may be to a degree using credits you’ve already earned.

• Transfer credit from an accredited institution, like another accredited college, university, or community college.

• Apply your associate’s degree from a community college. In most cases, ALL of your associate’s degree credit will be applied to your Bellevue University bachelor’s degree completion program.

• Earn credit by passing an examination from the College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) or Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support (DANTES).

• Military training qualifies for college credit.

• Use your life experience – and Bellevue University’s unique Experiential Learning Assessment program to demonstrate college-level learning you may have had outside the classroom.

• Corporate training, licensing, and certifications may count for credit, too.

Call us. We’ll evaluate your personal situation and show you how far along you may already be toward your degree.
