Bellevue University Student Clubs Deliver Half Ton of Food to Community
Bellevue University is proud to acknowledge the Student Activities Council (SAC) and all its clubs' members for a very successful food drive for the Bellevue Food Pantry. This year’s effort was headed by Matilda Yeboah, Student Activities Council President and Fred Grossman (’02), President of the Student Veterans of America at Bellevue University. Members set out containers around the Main Campus and the Lozier Campus West from Oct 25th thru Nov 12th. This is an annual activity by the clubs at Bellevue University.
Their efforts collected nearly 1000 pounds of food items for the local community during this holiday season. Pantry organizers, Ron and Mary Begg stated, "Without community involvement, and the Bellevue University Clubs, we wouldn’t be able to take care of our families." To date they have already provided more than 7100 food baskets for the community, which was an increase over last year.
