Faculty Celebrates with NHALI Grads
Program Develops Leaders for Healthcare Industry
Bellevue University faculty members recently celebrated with graduates of the 9th Nebraska Hospital Association Leadership Institute. Bellevue University has helped facilitate the Institute since its inception. The Institute has graduated about 190 participants, mostly from rural, critical access hospitals across Nebraska.
"We have had a wonderful partnership with Bellevue University since the inception of the NHA Leadership Institute back in 2003," said Jon Borton, Vice President of Educational Services for the Nebraska Hospital Association. "Institute participants come from a cross section of positions and disciplines with hospitals from all across Nebraska and the Bellevue faculty have been a tremendous resource as we help these individuals develop their leadership skills."
The NHA Leadership Institute provides up-and-coming leaders within their organization the necessary skills to become exceptional leaders and puts them on the pathway to senior management positions.
"I see the main benefits that participants take away are practical skills that they can immediately put to use in their own settings and definitely a fantastic opportunity to widen their network with other health care professionals facing the same challenges they do," Borton said. "Strong bonds are established between class members who carry on long after they have completed the Leadership Institute."
