Siedlik collects 300th win
Bellevue University head volleyball coach Trish Siedlik earned her 300th win in late October. The Bruins swept Davenport University at the Madonna University Crusader Classic in Livonia Michigan. Siedlik is in her sixth season at Bellevue, after serving four seasons at her alma mater College of St. Mary, and now sports a 301-80 (.790) overall coaching record.
Siedlik has led the Bruins to four MCAC regular season titles, four MCAC tournament titles, and four straight appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, with a Final 12 finish in 2008. Coach Siedlik commented after the weekend: "Saturday brought back the thoughts of some pretty exciting matches that I was a part of as well as some wonderful young ladies who made it happen. I have had assistants who brought a world of knowledge to the team, as well as to myself, about the game of volleyball. I am looking forward to many more such memories and experiences."
The Bruins quickly helped coach Siedlik move on to the next milestone with a 5-set victory over NCAA Division II Malone University for win number 301.
