Scratch Track set for Nov. 7 show
Scratch Track, an acoustic hip-hop soul duo based out of Kansas City, Mo., will be making a return appearance on the Bellevue University campus on Monday, November 7. The show, a part of the Bellevue University Concert Series, will be held at noon in the Margre H. Durham Student Center.
The group, which last appeared in Bellevue on May 5, 2011, is made up of David "DJ" Lee (singer, beatboxer and songwriter) and Jason "Pistol Boot" Hamlin (singer, guitarist and songwriter). The pair has built a reputation touring coffeehouses, clubs and campuses across the country and has opened for a variety of acts including The Roots, The Zac Brown Band, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Jars of Clay, Los Lonely Boys, Erykah Badu, and Living Colour.
The Chicago Sun-Times called the band a slick cross section between Digable Planets and Jack Johnson. You can visit their website at www.scratchtrackmusic.com.
