Stained Glass Installation Illuminates at Bellevue University
The Educational Services building on the main campus now features a stunning stained glass installation. Entitled "Lifelong Learning," the impressive 30’ X 15’ window shows students going boldly into bright futures. It crowns the student reception area of the building, and is immediately visible for students, staff, and visitors who enter from the main, north entrance.
"This incredibly bright work of art is the perfect metaphor for what we do at Bellevue University," commented Mary B. Hawkins, President. "Our mission is to help people reach their career and life goals through the opportunities afforded them through education."
Bellevue University commissioned the work from local artist Mark Lambrecht. What took more than five days to install is available to view in just over one minute in time-lapse video.
The stained glass window was donated to Bellevue University from Zaiss & Company in Omaha, Nebraska.
