Tanner's Day game slated for April 29

The Bellevue University baseball team will host Briar Cliff University on Sunday, April 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Werner Park. The game has been designated as Striking Out Cancer on Tanner's Day, a special fundraiser to benefit the fight against Ewing's Sarcoma, a malignant bone tumor which effects children.

In addition, the Bruins will host a youth camp before the contest. Camp check-in begins at 12:30 p.m., with the camp running from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Werner Park, located at Highway 370 & 126th Street in Papillion, Neb., is the home to the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

Admission is $5 and proceeds will benefit cancer research.
