A variety of National Library Week festivities planned at Bellevue University
Several activities are planned throughout the week of April 10-16, 2011 for faculty, staff, and students in celebration of National Library Week.
Please join the dedicated staff of Bellevue University's Freeman/Lozier Library for these events as they as celebrate the American Library Association's theme, "Create Your Own Story" at Bellevue University Library!
- Book Sale – Browse the used book sale, Monday, April 11 – Friday, April 1
- Annual Open House – Wednesday, April 13, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Attend the "Friend of the Library" Award presentation at 2:15 p.m. Live music will be provided by the "Sounds of Knowledge" and refreshments will be served.
- READ posters – bring your favorite book, or select one of ours, to have your picture taken for your own personalized READ poster. Check with the library for scheduled times.
- Discover the Library's new blog, "Facts from the Stacks."
Two special events will take place in the library classroom:
- "Free to Find Your Voice" – Tuesday, April 12 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. View the inspiring documentary of the "Freedom Writers" and learn how to create a blog to share your own stories. Presented by the Library Staff.
- "Change How You See Life" – Thursday, April 14 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. An imaginative and fun hands-on workshop to help you design the life you want through self-awareness. Presented by the Learning Assessment Center Staff.
