Paben collects 100th win

Head coach Shane Paben collected his 100th career victory as the Bellevue University men's basketball team defeated Haskell Indian Nations University 75-67 Saturday, Feb. 4, in Lawrence, KS. The victory moved the sixth-ranked Bruins to 20-5 overall and 8-1 in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Paben, now in his fourth season at Bellevue University, has a career record of 100-28 (.781) including a 39-8 (.830) mark in the MCAC. Under Paben, the Bruins have claimed the MCAC regular season and tournament titles each of the past two seasons. The team has advanced to the NAIA National Tournament in all three of coach Paben's previous seasons including a run to the semifinals in the 2009-2010 season.
