Appeal Process

Bellevue University international students who already have health insurance through a different company are still required to enroll in the HTH Worldwide Bellevue University plan.

If you would like to appeal this requirement based on your current insurance coverage, you may submit a formal appeal to be considered by the Dean of Students.

In order for an appeal to be considered, the appeal must include:

  • A formal letter or email explaining your reason for appealing the requirement, which:
    • is addressed to the Dean of Students, Michelle Eppler
    • includes your name, Bellevue University Student ID number and email address
  • a copy of your current plan's benefits and exclusions
  • a copy of your current plan's enrollment card

Include the above items with your letter of appeal and submit your appeal package to the Dean of Students. You may do this electronically by email with scanned attachments sent directly to Dean Eppler at michelle.eppler@bellevue.edu or by submitting your appeal package to the Dean of Students' Office, LCN 580, for consideration. The Dean of Students will consider the appeal and inform you of the decision by email.
