International Graduate Admissions
International students must apply for admission to Bellevue University as full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students or graduate students in traditional programs. The United States Department of Homeland Security requires full-time attendance for international students. Accelerated and cohort programs do not meet this requirement. Bellevue University’s International Programs Office is committed to serving international students.
Our graduate programs are built upon a diversity of perspectives. Qualified students from other cultures and countries are encouraged to apply.
International students who have been awarded a bachelor's degree from a U.S. institution of higher education may apply for direct admission into graduate degree programs. International students who have been awarded a bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education in a foreign country may apply for direct admission into graduate degree programs with a WES evaluation. Students must follow general admissions requirements for the specific graduate program.

WES EVALUATION REQUIRED OF ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
A WES (World Education Services) evaluation is required of all international students who have studied outside of the United States. All transcripts from non-US educational institutions – high school as well as any post-secondary transcripts – must be sent directly to WES by the issuing institution. This is a requirement before admission can be granted.
You can apply for your evaluation on the WES website, and should apply for the course-by-course evaluation if you have completed any university-level coursework. It is critical that you read and follow the "Required Documents" information specific to your country of study to ensure that your evaluation is completed as quickly as possible. If your transcripts and diplomas are not in English, you must provide a translation.
You will need to list Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska as a recipient of your WES evaluation.
Once all the required documentation has been received by WES, the evaluation usually takes 7 – 10 days.
You will find all the information you need at www.wes.org.
English Language Requirements
TOEFL Score: A TOEFL score of at least 71 (internet-based) or 530 (paper-based) or an IELTS score of at least 5.5 is required in order to begin graduate classes at Bellevue University. Students with scores under 71/530 (TOEFL) or 5.5 (IELTS) will be required to enroll in the ESL Program. TOEFL test results are not required of students from select countries exempt from TOEFL requirements.
If you are transferring from a school within the United States, we must also receive a completed transfer form from your current school.
