ESL - English as a Second Language

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program at Bellevue University is outstanding. In our ESL program, we offer beginning through advanced level classes for undergraduate and graduate students. You will receive instruction in English grammar, vocabulary, composition, reading, listening, and speaking.

Distinctive Features of the Bellevue University ESL Program

  • You will receive college credit toward graduation for your ESL course work.
  • Students at the advanced levels are allowed to take other courses while completing ESL classes.  You will learn English through advanced technology, using a language lab and computer software.

Undergraduate

TOEFL scores are not required for admission. On your arrival at Bellevue University, we will give you an English language placement test to determine your English proficiency so that you will be placed in an appropriate ESL or ESP course.

Application Information

The Bellevue University ESL program starts three times during the year - Fall (August), Spring (January) and Summer (June). We welcome your application for admission into ESL in either our Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
