Where can I find the documents / forms that I need to complete?

If you are using Deferral as your payment option, complete the Deferral Authorization Form.

If you are using Veteran Benefits, click on Veteran Services for information.

If you are using Financial Aid, click on the Financial Aid link for more information.

To navigate to these documents:

  • Log into www.bellevue.edu
  • Click on Financial Services
  • Select either Financial Aid or Veteran Services

If you use Deferral as you payment option:

  • Log into BRUIN
  • Click on My Info Category
  • Under Student Resources, click Payment Options
  • Click on Deferred Payment

What should I send to my employer so that they will pay for my courses?

Please check with your employer to determine the specific information you need. You may request a Statement of Account by:

  • Log into BRUIN
  • Click on My Info Category
  • Under Student Resources, click Payment Options
  • Select Statement of Account Request

When do I have to make my first payment?

Your payment is due 45 days from the end of your class.

How much of my tuition does my employer have to pay to be eligible for the Deferral option?

For corporate reimbursement, your employer must cover 70% of your total cost of tuition and fees.

How do I request a Statement of Account to turn into my employer for reimbursement?

Complete a request for your Statement of Account.

What form do I need to fill out for Reimbursement?

Complete the Deferral Authorization Form.

How do I get started using my VA benefits at Bellevue University?

Complete the Veteran Education Form. If you are on active duty, please list only the classes you will not receive Tuition Assistance for.

This is confusing to me and I completed the process. E.g. Complete the online application, in-turn; VA will forward a confirmation within 2-4 weeks reflecting your eligibility and how much funds you qualify for based upon a percentage. (First Step)

If you are using the Montgomery GI Bill and wish to defer your payment, complete the Deferral Authorization form at: http://www.bellevue.edu/financial-services/deferral-program.aspx.

Complete the Educational Form if you have not already done so at: http://www.gibill.va.gov/.

Complete form 22-1990 (Application for benefit) if you have never used this benefit before.

Complete form 22-1995 (Request for Change of Program or Place of Training if you have used the benefit before and are changing majors or schools.

If you are using TA Top-Up, you will need to send a copy of each of your Tuition Assistance forms to the VA for payment. I am using GI Bill and don't want to make a payment until I receive it. What do I need to do?

Complete the Deferral Authorization Form at http://www.bellevue.edu/financial-services/deferral-program.aspx. If your deferral authorization is approved, your payment due date will be deferred out 45 days from the end of class/session. Your payment due date is not contingent on your receipt of VA funds.

How do I submit for Top-Up benefits?

If you are using TA Top-Up, you will need to send a copy of each of your Tuition Assistance forms to the VA for payment. Their address is: Department of Veteran Affairs, PO Box 66830, St. Louis MO 63166. How do I transfer my VA Benefits from another school to Bellevue University?

Complete the 22-1995, Request for Change of Program or Place of Training by going the GI Bill website; www.gibill.va.gov and click on Apply for Benefits. Once you are logged in, you should see a list of forms.

How do I verify my attendance with the VA?

If you are receiving Active Duty or Reserve GI Bill or REAP, you will need to contact the Web Automated Verification of Enrollment (WAVE) or you can call the VA's toll free Interactive Voice Response line at 1-877-823-2378 to verify your attendance. Note: If you are receiving Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits, you will not need to verify your attendance.

Has my payment been received from the VA?

View your Student Account at BRUIN>Self Service>Student Center>Account Inquiry to see your payment has been received. For additional information, contact stuacct@bellevue.edu.

How does the book stipend work for Chapter 33, Post 9/11?

Books are purchased out of pocket and you will be reimbursed with your Post 9/11 book stipend. The VA will pay $41.67 per credit hour.

I am using VA Vocational Rehab (Chapter 31). How much do I receive for books?

VA Vocational Rehab will cover 100% of all required books for classes.

I am using DEA (Chapter 35) benefits. Can I use the tuition waiver at Bellevue University?

No, the tuition waiver only applies to state funded institutions. Bellevue University is a private institution.

What benefit works best for me?

This document may be used for a variety of reason such as reimbursement by your employer or for tax purposes.
