Keep Copies of Forms & Receipts
Print your name and Student ID number at the top of each document prior to submission to our office. Make copies of documents submitted and maintain a financial aid file of correspondence.
Respond Immediately
Sometimes, additional documents/information are needed before a final determination can be made. We may send you one or more requests for needed documents/information. All specified deadlines for return of information must be met.
Once your eligibility has been determined, we will send you an award letter listing the aid you are eligible to receive. Award offers generally must be returned to the Financial Aid Office within a set deadline period. Read your award offer and accompanying information and follow the instructions carefully.
Notify the Financial Aid Office of All Changes or Corrections
You must promptly submit in writing to the Financial Aid Office any inaccurate information regarding your financial, marital or academic status. Report all scholarships and assistance from other sources. Financial Aid Counselors are available to discuss concerns about your financial situation or aid program.
Follow Up
Contact the Financial Aid Office if you do not receive notification within 6 weeks after you have submitted all requested documents/information. It is your responsibility to track documents which are required from schools or other agencies.
You Must Re-Apply Each Academic Year for Financial Aid
To receive continued student aid, you must submit an application and supporting documents each year and must maintain satisfactory academic progress.
If you are using the regular FAFSA or the Renewal FAFSA Application to apply for aid, be sure to indicate that you wish the information transmitted to Bellevue University, code #002538.
