Instructional Technology Services

The ITS staff provides technical and classroom support for Bellevue University faculty, staff, students and external clients. This includes troubleshooting and assisting with the selection and use of electronic presentation equipment and software packages.

SERVICES OFFERED BY ITS

Facility equipment maintenance and training includes:

• Troubleshooting classroom equipment
• Training faculty and staff in electronic presentation equipment and software package selection and use. (NOTE: These consultation services are also available for students. Consultation may be requested through course instructors.)
• Training on all AV equipment is available upon request
• Periodic scheduled training. Please contact us at av@bellevue.edu for specific training needs.

Other services provided by ITS include:

• Videotaping and editing
• Videotaping and editing of classroom presentations and other functions
• Still photography
• Audio recording
• CD/DVD mastering
• Videotape, CD and DVD duplication (within the bounds of applicable copyright constraints)
• Off-cable and off-satellite broadcast capture (within the bounds of applicable copyright constraints)
• Instructor welcome videos and photographs for the online learning system
• File conversion to "Internet-friendly " formats at the discretion of the Director of Instructional Technology

Consultation services include:

• Multimedia technology support and assistance for online course presentation
• Clients are encouraged to contact us for one-on-one assistance with electronic presentation applications

Student consultation Services

• We ask that students have something started to give us something to work with. NOTE: We cannot do your project for you but we will ensure that you have the capability to do it yourself.
• Due to time requirements, this service is available by appointment only. Contact us for an appointment.

The following audio-visual equipment is available:

• Video projectors with VHS and DVD players
• Slide projectors
• Overhead projectors
• Tape recorders
• "Boom boxes"(CD, cassette and AM/FM radio)
• Laser disk player
• Camcorders, with or without operators
• Portable speaker system
• Casablanca video editing system (simple non-linear digital editing) for student use
• Satellite TV system
