After deciding what my major was, I did a lot of research online. Bellevue University seemed to offer a respectable program that didn't fall into your typical "online degree" category. Bellevue University's program was affordable, intense, fast-paced and very rewarding. I'm glad I did it.

Health and Human Performance Degree - Bachelor of Arts
If you have the drive to help others increase their health, fitness, and physical performance then you may find a rewarding career in health and human performance.
The Bellevue University Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Performance combines principles and practices of physical performance and healthy lifestyles. The curriculum provides a foundation in nutrition, exercise science, health, physical education and recreation.
This degree is designed to provide you with the tools and skills needed to analyze performance and make recommendations for improvement in health, physical fitness, training and coaching. A coaching emphasis option is available if you wish to further expand your expertise in athletic coaching.
You will be exposed to various career paths within the health, fitness, and athletic fields such as wellness, personal training, and coaching. While finishing your degree, you will participate in an internship which provides an opportunity to gain experiences that will be of assistance as you enter the health, fitness, and athletic fields.
If you desire to pursue a graduate degree, you will be prepared to enter the Masters of Science in Leadership and Coaching, or other professional programs in athletic training, dietetics, therapy, or physical education.
At successful completion of degree you will be able to:
- Promote personal wellness philosophies for enhanced health
- Respond appropriately with first aid or athletic training techniques in emergency or athletic injury situations
- Communicate effectively in a variety of contexts within the career field such as team sports, coaching, training and presentation of educational programs
- Evaluate physical performance from multiple perspectives
- Design solutions and offer recommendations for improving individual physical performance
