The Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Bellevue University is designed to allow students to immediately pursue employment in a professional accounting position, or to choose the option of entering graduate degree program upon completion.

If your strengths lie in problem solving, numbers, and logic, the expanding field of accounting may be a great career for you. The Bellevue University Bachelor of Science in Accounting is intended to prepare you for a meaningful career in a variety of organizations where you can make a difference: public practice, industry, financial institutions, government, and nonprofit organizations.
This degree will develop your aptitudes for financial accounting, cost accounting, auditing, tax accounting, and analysis. You will be equipped to enter into a professional accounting position, and to prepare for the Certified Public Accountant exam. (See the Curriculum page for specific requirements.)
Integrating hands-on, applied learning with theory, all Bellevue University degrees are designed to deliver a transformative student learning experience that is flexible to accommodate your personal and work life.
You may choose to gain experience and discover your particular interests through an accounting internship. You also have the option to specialize with the addition of a Tax Minor.
If you wish to pursue an advanced degree you will be well positioned to enter the Master of Science in Accounting. As a Bellevue University undergraduate you are allowed to take up to 12 credits of specifically defined graduate-level accounting courses during your last year of undergraduate study (students with 90 credits or above). We recommend that you apply for the Master of Science in Accounting at the end of your junior year.
At successful completion of the Bellevue University Bachelor of Science in Accounting you will be able to:
- Apply accounting concepts and procedures for strategic and operational problem solving and decision-making
- Analyze financial information using industry specific technology
- Communicate in a variety of professional and media contexts including report analysis
- Apply ethical principles and critical thinking skills to accounting and evaluation of organizational decisions
- Evaluate the impact of international business issues on accounting information
