General Questions
- What are the office hours for the Test Center at Main Campus?
Our office hours are different from testing hours. The Test Center at Main Campus is open Monday – Thursday from 8am to 6pm and on Friday from 8am to 5pm. Please call 402-557-7428 or email testing@bellevue.edu with your questions.
- Are testing hours different from office hours?
Yes! There is a variety of test days and times. You may take a test at the Main Campus Test center or at the Lozier Test center. Please schedule your test by calling 402-557-7428 or by emailing testing@bellevue.edu.
- How do I get help when the Test Center is not open?
Please leave a message at 402-557-7428 or email testing@bellevue.edu. We will normally respond within 24 hours.
- Are there guides with information about the services offered by the Test Center?
- Where is the Main Campus test center?
The Main Campus test center is located at 1000 Galvin Road South. The Test Center is in the R. Joe Dennis Learning Center Building in room 522.
- Where is the Lozier Test Center?
- How do I schedule a test?
- What do I need to bring with me to the testing appointment?
You need to bring picture identification such as a driver's license, passport, or military identification card. Also, you will need to bring any items your instructor has allowed for use on the test such as your book, your notes, and your calculator.
- Are cell phones allowed in the Test Center?
Cell phones are not permitted in the Test Center.
- Can people not affiliated with Bellevue University use the Test Center?
We are an open Test Center and offer testing services to the surrounding community.
- Do all online classes require a proctored test(s)?
No, not all online classes require a proctored test. Please review your course syllabus for this information.
- What is a test proctor?
A test proctor is someone who agrees to watch over you while you take your test. This person should not have any concern for how well you do on the test; therefore, friends and relatives are not appropriate proctors. You and the proctor sign a form indicating that you have followed the requirements of the test and have followed the academic honesty standards.
An approved proctor must be able to receive and administer a test at their business address. You and your proctor must meet in a business setting to take your tests. Please consult this link to learn more about test proctors.
- How do I find a proctor for a test?
To find a proctor for your test, call universities, colleges, or libraries located near you and ask if they proctor tests. Find out if they charge a fee and if their schedule will fit your testing needs.
- How do I arrange for a proctor?
Once you have located a proctor, you will need to submit a proctor nomination form. We contact this person and explain the process. You will receive an email letting you know if this person is approved or is not approved to be your proctor.
Find out what fees your proctor may charge you and if their schedule will fit your testing needs. It is your responsibility to contact your proctor and arrange a day and time to take your test.
- What tests can be taken for credit?
There are a variety of tests which can be taken for credit. These include CLEP, DSST, and Computer Proficiency tests. Also, the New York University Foreign Language Proficiency tests are offered in over 49 different languages.
- Where can I get study materials for CLEP, DSST, and Computer Proficiency tests?
For the CLEP and DSST tests you may find information and recommendations for study materials on the CLEP and DSST websites sites.
For the Computer Proficiency tests please consult the Computer Proficiency Tests link which details the tasks you may expect to perform. You may find it helpful to search for tutorials for any tasks you are not familiar with.
