Financial Aid Checklist

  

Follow the step-by-step instructions below to ensure you have completed all the necessary requirements.

Step 1: Are You Eligible For Financial Aid?

Yes, I meet all the following criteria:

  • I have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
  • I’m enrolled as a regular student working toward a degree in an eligible program.
  • I am a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  • I have a valid Social Security Number.
  • I meet the standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)- (See link on left)

Step 2: Complete the Following Financial Aid Forms

Financial Aid Information Form

  • Online at: Financial Aid Information Form
  • You may also pick up an application at the Financial Aid Office in the Educational Services Building, 1000 Galvin Road, Bellevue, Nebraska.
  • Return the form to the Financial Aid office.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • FAFSA on the web at: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
  • Mailing a paper FAFSA: You may also pick up a paper application at your high school, local library, or the Financial Aid Office in the Educational Services Building, 1000 Galvin Road, Bellevue, Nebraska. Complete the application and mail it in the pre-addressed envelope that is in the FAFSA packet.
  • List Bellevue University, Bellevue, NE 68005 in the release section of the application and Bellevue’s Title IV school code: 002538.
  • Make a copy of the application for your records. If you complete the form online, print the confirmation page for your records.
  • SOME FUNDS ARE LIMITED!!! It is to your advantage that your application be completed as soon as possible after January 1.
  • If you complete the FAFSA online, you may check the status of your application at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
