Bruins take No. 1 seed at Region IV Tournament
May 7-10, 2008
OMAHA, Neb. – Bellevue University was crowned the 2008 MCAC Tournament Title on Saturday evening and will take their three game winning streak to the 2008 NAIA Region IV Baseball Tournament beginning on Wednesday (May 7) through Saturday (May 10) in Hutchinson, Kansas held at Hobart-Detter Field. Bellevue University (45-12) will be the No. 1 seed and will face Bethany College (37-14) the sixth-seeded team at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the tournament's first game.
Rounding out the remaining seeds are, second-seeded Kansas Wesleyan University, third-seeded Park University, Friends University holding down the fourth seed and York College with the fifth seed.
The Tournament will conclude on Saturday with the winner advancing to the Great Plain Super Regional Tournament beginning on Thursday (May 15) next week hosted by the Region III Tournament winner.

Softball regionals moves to Wichita, Kansas due to weather

OMAHA, Neb. – Bellevue was crowed the 2008 MCAC Tournament Champions and earned an automatic berth to the 2008 NAIA Region IV Softball Tournament being hosted by the KCAC in Wichita, Kansas this Friday and Saturday (May 9-10).
The Bruins, 27-12 overall, will be the second seed and will face the winner between Kansas Wesleyan University and Park University at 11 a.m. on Friday at Two Rivers Sports Complex.
Friends University is 29-8 overall and will be the No. 1 seed as Bellevue will be No. 2 as they have both earned a first round bye. Playing in the first round is third-seeded Kansas Wesleyan University, fourth-seeded Ottawa University, Bethany College the fifith seed and Park University with the sixth seed.
The winner of the 2008 NAIA Region IV Softball Tournament will earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament beginning next week in Decatur, Alabama.
