      Plus: At least 1500 clock hours of supervision by a certified athletic trainer accumulated over a minimum of two years, and not more than five years.

      Twenty-five percent of the 1500 clock hours must be obtained in the following sports: football, soccer, hockey, wrestling, basketball, gymnastics, lacrosse, volleyball and rugby.

      Proof of current American National Red Cross certification in Basic Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

      Endorsement of NATA Board of Certification Examination Application by a certified athletic trainer (A.T.C.) who supervised at least one-third of the applicant's clock hours, and proof of graduation with a Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university.

      Successful completion of the athletic training academic program, along with the following requirements, qualifies the student to take the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification Examination.

      The Certification Examination must be passed to continue on in a career as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Seniors must have CPR and First Aid training validated before sitting for the exam.
