Financing

Bellevue University provides several options for financing your education and methods of payment. Each process is described briefly below:

Payment Options

Bank Draft Transfer

Students residing outside of the United States may do a direct transfer of bank funds. The student must notify Bellevue University by e-mailing stuacct@bellevue.edu that a bank draft will be wired to Bellevue University's General Operating Account. This e-mail must include:

  1. Student's name
  2. Student ID or Social Security Number
  3. Dollar amount of transfer in USD
  4. Date of transfer.

By choosing the Bank Draft Transfer option (unless you pay in full), you will be using the Deferred Payment Plan, and you agree to pay in the installments applicable to the specific session for which you are registering.

Check Payment

By choosing the check payment option, (unless you pay in full), you will be using the Deferred Payment Plan, and you agree to pay the installments applicable to the specific session in which you are registering.

By selecting the check payment option, Bellevue University will hold your registration for five (5) working days. If your check is not received within five (5) working days, the registration will be voided.

Debit/Credit Card

When you register or pay online, you may use a credit or debit card. This option is available if you are paying in full or if you are using the Deferred Payment Plan. When you use this option on the deferred payment plan, you are agreeing to pay in the installments applicable to the specific session for which you are registering.

Finance Options

Corporate Tuition Assistance

The corporate tuition option is available for students whose employer agrees to pay Bellevue University directly. The Human Resources office in your company will be able to assist you in completing the forms required by Bellevue University. Contact stuacct@bellevue.edu for the forms and guidelines. If your company supports direct payment, you can choose the Corporate Tuition Assistance option. By selecting this option you are agreeing to furnish Bellevue University Business Office the approved tuition assistance authorization no later than two weeks from the date of registration.

  • Once the corporate tuition assistance is credited to your account, the balance owed (if any) will fall under the policies of the Deferred Payment Plan.

If Bellevue University does not receive the approved tuition assistance form within two weeks of the date of registration, you will be required to pay the appropriate money due or your registration will be voided.

Deferred Payment Plan

This plan allows a student to pay tuition over several payments. For programs or courses less than 12 weeks in length, two payments are made. For programs 12-16 weeks, three payments are made, and for all programs longer than 16 weeks, tuition and fees will be spread over 4 payments.

  • Students who use the Deferred Payment Plan will be charged a 1.25 percent finance charge each month (15 percent annual percentage rate) on the unpaid balance for all charges.
  • The finance charge will be computed starting the 20th day of the month in which classes begin and will be charged on the 20th day of each month thereafter on the unpaid balance until the balance is paid in full.
  • A late payment fee of $15.00 will be charged on the 20th day of each month if the account is delinquent.

Financial Aid

Students may apply for Financial Aid online by going to http://www.bellevue.edu/FA/finaid.htm. Students who are approved for financial aid may use a Financial Aid waiver to register. Students who register using a Financial Aid Waiver equal to or greater than their first payment may do so in lieu of payment.

  • Students who register using a waiver for less than the required first payment will be required to pay the difference at the time of registration.
  • If the Financial Aid Waiver does not cover the entire cost, you will be required to pay the remaining balance of your tuition and fees according to the Deferred Payment Plan.
  • Once your Financial Aid is posted to your account, any excess credit will be refunded to you within 14 days.

Military Tuition Assistance

By choosing the Military Tuition Assistance option, you are agreeing to furnish Bellevue University the approved tuition assistance authorization no later than two weeks from the date of this registration.

  • Once the tuition assistance is credited to your account, the balance owed (if any) will fall under the policies of the Deferred Payment Plan.
  • If Bellevue University does not receive the approved tuition assistance form within two weeks of the date of registration, you will be required to pay the appropriate money due or your registration will be voided.
